To help you achieve the high energy intake required for intense endurance exercise, we've included 60 grams of carbohydrates in a single energy gel.
This is the world's first energy gel with 60 grams of carbohydrates per gel and no added flavorings or colorings. From a technical perspective, traditional gels consist of water and carbohydrates mixed in syrups, which often contain added flavors and preservatives. GLUT 5 gel is completely different. It is a unique combination of maltodextrin and fructose (1:0.8 ratio) that allows glucose uptake beyond 60 grams per hour, avoiding saturation of the Slgt-1 and glut 5 transporters (glucose and fructose respectively) and minimizing gastrointestinal discomfort. It has a high sodium content, exactly 350mg, promoting hydration for athletes. With one gel per hour, you'll be consuming the minimum amount of sodium your body needs to maintain homeostatic balance, avoiding dehydration problems. HIGH ENERGY INTAKE
The GLUT 5 gel range is designed to allow for high energy intakes. In fact, beginners will only need one energy gel per hour to get all the energy they need. For those experienced in high carbohydrate intakes per hour and who have specifically trained their digestive system by "training the gut," they can oxidize from 60 to 120 grams of carbohydrates per hour in an activity lasting more than 90 minutes, which would be equivalent to two gels per hour.
If your oxidation rate is between 60 and 90 grams per hour, use the GLUT 5 GEL range together with the GLUT 5 DRINK single-dose for a 750ml bottle of water to reach 90 grams per hour. Or combine it with our 30-gram GLUT 5 Lite gel range.
